    Maroussia's ‘Women in Transport and Logistics’ Breakfast this year will feature Guest Speaker Roz Shaw (Hawkins).   Roz Shaw, who logged many years behind the wheel running her own family-owned freight and logistics company Hawkins Transport has now switched lanes to the insurance industry to take up the role of Head of Transport for Gallagher Australia.  Roz will share insights into being a woman in one of the toughest industries in Australia and how she did things smarter to make it in the industry and continue a career supporting her love of the road transport industry.

    DigiT&L Futures NHVR Portal & Telematics TrainingThe DigiT&L Futures program aims to assist industries impacted by digital disruption by supporting a transition and adoption of new practices by existing workers.

    As part of this program, workshops are being delivered for the following projects:

    NHVR Permit Portal training
    This 3hr session will offer practical training and understanding how to use the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Permit Portal, increasing your efficiency and productivity when applying for permits.  Real-time practice will be provided using scenario-based training. 


    Maximising the Use of Telematics
    This sessions will provide you with a deeper understanding of how to maximise the use of telematics in your business to drive efficiency, productivity and safety outcomes.  This will include how to apply and use telematics data to improve productivity and fleet management and give insights into future regulatory compliance requirements.

    Cost:

    • The cost is $50 +gst per person

              DIGIT&L FUTURES (Excel Skills) will provide support for existing workers in the transport and logistics industry (across all sectors) to upskill and build knowledge and competency in understanding Microsoft Excel (different levels of training available).  Training will be delivered across a number of locations by TAFE Queensland.

              This course runs over 2 weeks - 2nd and 9th November 2019.
